BREAKING: Former Detroit Lions WR Charles Rogers Has Passed Away At Age 38

Sad. He fell trap to the over hype around himself, injuries and the failed drug tests killed his career.

That's too bad, so young. I remember he is one of the biggest bust WRs though. Drafted 2nd overall and never even got to 500 TOTAL CAREER yards.

There was that stretch in the early 2000s where the Lions were drafting WRs non-stop with all their top 10 overall picks lol. It was like 3 in a row lol... and then 2 seasons later or something they finally hit with Calvin Johnson.

I remember by like the 4th draft after I think they took Roy Williams, Mike Williams (after Charles Rogers) EVERYONE was like, "Well... what WR are the Lions going to draft, this year?"
