There's no "talk of promoting Morris". What there was is a question about if Morris is a candidate and all Allen said was "Jay will make that decision"

You're reading way too much that isn't there.

That said.... I still don't trust Jay to make the right call, so who cares if Morris is or isn't a candidate. Jay will screw this up too.

Asked if Raheem Morris might be in the mix to replace Haslett, Allen would only say that the interview process would begin soon. Morris, 38, was the Buccaneers’ head coach from 2009-2011 before joining the Redskins as secondary coach in 2012.

“Jay will determine that,” Allen said, referring to Morris’ potential candidacy.

why the hell does jay make the call? be a gm and do your f'ing job. jay should have a large say in it but what the hell does bruce even do. he should be doing peoples taxes for a living, hes scared to make football decisions because he sucks at them. bruce has no clue what he wants the direction of the team to look like.

Yep, i have sen those names, and my simple question was.. if any of these guys are that good, give me one good reason aside from wishful thinking that they would come to DC??

And sorry but the implication has been Haslett needs to go because no one could do any worse, or in other words any one would be better.

Because a coach should always pick his staff. A GM can help find candidates, but the HC should have final say.

Next we have a poster screaming that Bruce should be picking the defensive coordinator, this after the entire league laughed at the Redskins for naming Zorn the offensive coordinator before naming the head coach. The justified criticism was that the head coach should be picking his coordinators, not top management.
