I enclose this snip because I think the Reds would be well-placed to realize that in a ballpark that is designed to score runs, having a bunch of .210 hitters clogging up the outfield isn't getting it done.
With Igelsias and Lorenzen out, the Reds are not even using their best 5 rookies now.
But word is, Walt and Price will be back next year but some of the bench coaches will be replaced. Accountability being what it is for Price, it was like getting rid of the 3rd base coach. That really helped, though.
that blind ass 3b coach last year killed more men at home than Jeffery Dahmer. Riggs did do better....or maybe there were less tossed out, because there were fewer on base this year. They couldn't score in a ho-house with a credit card.
The hitting coach isn't helping Hamilton or Bruce- Hamilton needs a daily bunt signal and Bruce needs a tennis racket or a better swing.
Paying marginal attention tonight, it looks like the average at-bat for a Reds hitter is something less than 4 pitches. I guess that rain delay was too much to handle.
