Can't hurt. Phantoms D is going to have Hagg, Morin, Ghost, Pettersson, and Marti. All home grown

He will undoubtedly start with the Phantoms unless he has an out of this world camp. I read somewhere, and I can't find it...that his game reminded some of Meszaros' game in that he is mobile, has some offensive chops and likes to bang people. If that is the game he plays, that would make him a good partner for one of the more stay at home thumpers .... "OMG....someone is actually thinking about the makeup of the team and not just pulling players names out of hats!!!" Sorry....but even if this signing goes no where it shows that Hextall is thinking outside the box. It is these little moves that say a lot about how the GM is thinking.

Hextall is rebuilding with talented youth and depth. The Flyers are going to be very good in a couple of years when all of this pays dividends.
