I'm a little surprised. I figured he'd at least go a month into the season to see how the Kolb experiment goes.

I guess Fitz and Kolb were working our quite a bit during the lockout. A few reports state they were working out for a week, but other insiders said they were working out for at least a month (who knows the truth). Fitz must really believe in the guy. Let's see what happens between the lines on game day.

Pretty sad to see/learn that Fitz and Kolb have worked out together more and knowing each other well more so than Smith(any SF QB) & Crabtree...

Not too surprising here, although i wonder how long this contract will be. I still feel he would love to play in minnesota at least once. He may not agree to such a long contract to see how the kolb situation pans out.

Also im not sold on Kolb, granted all he has to do is throw it up for fitz. But with them also having a poor o-line and fitz being doubled, it may be a concern for them. Todd heap is the signing that worries me, as the cards havent had a good TE in a long time.

Rumor has it they are working on a 6 year deal. If that is the case then Minnesota would get an older Fitz toward the end of his career.

True we have done pretty well against fitz, but that was when clements was guarding him. Some reason clements played pretty well against him. How will rogers do is the question.

I thought Spencer usually drew that coverage...goes back to their college days when he learned his tendencies, I believe.

90% of the time clements covered him.
