@RobBase any guess who Holmes might be looking at here in the 2nd round?

Will be really interesting if he makes it to us and we pass on him too.

Homer Simpson reaction from me here

DOH

If Holmes passes again for the 3rd time, then that's truly defining of what he thinks of Malik.

Damn, WanDale Robinson went sooner than I had anticipated and yet the fucked-up Giants are trying to dump their first round WR pick from last year in Kadarius Toney

Good for Ojabo

That was sad to watch him lay on the turf, and no one came to give him any kind of assistance

WOW, a 4-3 Base End........ Joshua Paschal

I spoke of him numerous times, but I thought he'd surely last until 3rd round.

Great, Great, Great run stopper

He is definitely a DAN CAMPBELL type of player

Not a pass rush specialist, yet

Overview
Fully grown defender with the play strength and versatility to contribute in odd or even fronts. Paschal's urgent, full-tilt demeanor helps him control his fair share of engagements, but it also leads to occasional lapses in footwork and balance. He's like a block of granite at the point of attack with low pads and a heavy anchor. He has the twitch to see-and-shed against single blocks and the range to make a tackle a gap away. His face-up rush style lacks elusiveness and will see limited success off the edge, but his snap quickness fits perfectly as an interior rusher in sub-packages. Paschal might never be a star, but he's a good future starter with winning character that coaches and fans will grow to love.
Strengths
  • Only three-time full-season captain in school history.
  • Big personality who loves the game.
  • Stocky lower half from his hips to his ankles.
  • Comes off the ball low, square and with a compact punch.
  • Bends and grows roots to leverage and counter drive blockers.
  • Full recognition and response for contain duties.
  • Forceful tackler with excellent shed power and timing.
  • Initial quickness offers quick-win potential as interior rusher.
  • Wide lateral steps take him quickly to the edge.
  • Attacks with heavy but sudden hands.
  • Highly determined once he finds the backfield.
Weaknesses
  • Size and length fall below NFL standards.
  • Needs better feel for edge pressure.
  • Occasional imbalance due to inconsistent footwork.
  • Frenzied play lands him on the ground at times.
  • Limited success as face-up edge rusher.
  • Lacks upper-body flexion to turn and flatten at the top of the arc.
  • Uses predictable jump-and-swim rush move inside.
  • Rush gasses out if he doesn't win early in the rep.

Passed on Malik 3 times.

Guess he’s media hype.

And so are ALL OTHER QB in this draft. It isn't only Malik.

And to think Kenny tiny hands Pickett is the only QB draft so far.

It's a long, long, long way to before drafting again.

Does Holmes trade away a 2023 pick to come up and get another player before end of round 2 or even beginning Top 10 of 3rd round?

He's drafting "his and DC/AG type of players" so far

I kind of, sort of like filling out the defensive line for outside edges, but damn them if they're comfortable with that LB and Safety group.

They still need to add to the DT position just for rotational purposes. They did protect DT Bruce Hector last year every single week that he was on the practice squad - Every NFL Team is allowed to protect 4 P.S. players weekly.

I believe Holmes is hoping to draft Missouri State DT Eric Johnson in the 5th or 6th round

I would prefer if we didn't. You don't tear up the senior bowl and be absolute dog shit in the NFL usually.
Not to mention, if he does end up sucking. We can draft another QB in the 1st round next year.

Willis didn't tear anything up at the Senior Bowl. A lot was on his crappy O-line at the Senior Bowl and some on his shitty receiving hands WR.
But still, dude was overhyped, and the NFL teams are proving that as of now
