For today's pessimism break, I'd like to use this post to remind us that the Tigers have eaten up righties, and our pitchers will not have an automatic out in the 9 hole (although, this year not so automatic for us).

So before we get out the brooms let's remember this is still a short series of baseball games.

Ohhhh .... I hear you loud and clear. That's why I'm ranting here and not all over the place. The only good thing that I see at this very moment ... is that we would come home even if we lost all three there. I do expect both Tron and Cain to have a much more difficult time of it. But I'm thinking we'll take at least one of the 3 at worst and if we go three we will not see Verlander back in SF. I still got a very good feeling about this. Looking at that team last night was just .... amazing. They seemed so freaking loose and their team synergy just look teriffic. You actually get the feeling they play for 'each other'.

I don't think anybody on this board has counted the Tigers out. Oh let me list the reasons:

1.) The Tigers are very tough at home.
2.) Analballs Sanchez OWNS the Giants.
3.) I can't imagine Verlander losing twice to Zito.
4.) The Giants came back from 0-2 and 1-3 deficits in this same playoffs.
5.) Max Scherzer has two different colored eyes that he's very proud of.

Yes, yes, yes and yes. The Tigers are a very good baseball team. (looks like McCarver's expert analysis has been wearing off on me)

Leyland just dropped a "bring your lunch bucket" to describe his team's attitude. Speaky!

Wow!. Fish has 5 AB against Anibel Sanchez, four strikeouts. We might see an Arias start at SS.

Didn't he also "tip his cap" to the Giants pitchers?

Have we ever seen Leyland and Speaks in the same room at the same time?

If he pulls out a "I'd go up to him and shake his hand," then I think it's confirmed: Leyland = Speaky.
