So lets say a guy in the top of the standings offers you a player.........and your at the bottom, for a very very good player.......

One is a rookie, ones the games best wr........

Your out of the playoffs........

The trade is not really fair as far as this year goes.......

But the player your trading carries a first round keeper

The player you get would absolutely be a keeper for you and has star written all over him.carries a 7th round keep........
Do you pull the trigger

That's part of the deal in keeper leagues. Teams at the bottom owe it to themselves to build for the future, and if a team at the top feels they can afford to deal a little of the future to win now, that's the way it should be. In a redraft this is unethical, in a keeper/dynasty it's sound strategy

Agree 100% with Treff. I'd look to counter and ask for another raw, but high ceiling player as well you always get multiple prospects in return for a bonafide star

Would depend on who the two mystery players are. What the keeper rules are and how young the top WR is. I would have a hard time trading a stud already for a guy you think will be a stud. But you might not be able to keep the current stud. Or you might have to put him back into the draft at some point. I have a hard time thinking of any rookies that are a lock to be studs. A lot of guys playing well though.

Hilton and Watkins would be good keepers.

I think all are selling low on Megatron. But you might be up against the deadline and trying to make something happen. I would want to allow him to rebuild some of his value. If you can let him prove he's 100% and show out on a typical Megatron game. You should be able to get a better return than a Watkins, Bryant or Hilton. Picks available in trades?

no they arent, but its not about better palyers i want value players..........good guys carrying lower draft grades

id get sammy and ty hilton as my two keepers and retain my round 1-4 picks

well, this is not as black and white as it seems... Yes, if you are out of it then you should be looking for the future... But if you are to trade a Current stud, you need them to PAY... I dont think watkins is enough for Calvin, and i dont think it is a good trade... It is not vetoable bad, but i dont think his keeper value is good enough for calvin even if you are down on calvin...

if 12 or less owners and 3 or less keepers, then i have a rule that i dont like to keep anyone who would not be picked in the first 3 rounds of next years REDRAFT...

12 owners, 2 keepers per team.......

hence why im intrigued by sammy and ty who i think are earlier picks next year at 5-and 7 round picks this year

I would do it even if it's just Megatron for Watkins. Detroit is not good offensively anymore. Stafford just is not a good quarterback no matter how much we want him to be.
