The bar graphs reflect the average points given by the voters for each category.
The overview
The Mariners are where the Royals were earlier this year, and where the Pirates were in 2013. They have made progress, but the team needs to take the next step forward to re-engage the fan base. -- Buster Olney
The dilemma
The Mariners need to find a long-term cleanup hitter to hit behind Robinson Cano and in front of Kyle Seager, and they might be willing to deal one of their top pitcher prospects to make a deal happen. The Mariners are expected to inquire about Giancarlo Stanton, Matt Kemp, Carlos Gonzalez, Yoenis Cespedes and Allen Craig. -- Jim Bowden
New guys
Alex Jackson may have been the best pure hitter in this year's draft class, a high school catcher whom the Mariners have moved to right field to try to get his bat to the majors faster. -- Keith Law

I'd really only want Stanton since Kemp and Gonzalez will both be making around 20 mill per and Gonzalez will be not only be changing leagues but also moving from the best hitters park to the best pitchers park. Cespedes and Craig's OBP last season were pretty bad so not sure on them too.

Stanton for the rite price would be amazing.

If they were to acquire Stanton wouldn't that drastically drop that number because of the minors on there?

Stanton would be amazing, but don't see it. I like Cespedes, but keep hearing he is a cancer on his teams. I prefer Napoli actually over all other Red Sox players.

I would also look into the availability of Bautista. Zobrist would be another target. People are down on him, but he actually had a better WAR than Seager and Cano (and yes a lot of that has to do with his high defensive WAR numbers but defense plays a big part in wins as well).

Should be a fun off season.

You would think, depending of course on who they trade, but the majors numbers would go up.
