have to get this win tonight. 2-0 hole is going to be near impossible to come out of. had all the momentum in the game 1 puck control time on attack. just have to get shots through.

I wanna see more play from behind the net tonight on offense..that is gonna be the way to beat the Rags.

The blueline offense with Kovy , Zid and the rest of the D is important but when the Rags are blocking 25+ shots a game from out there its important for guys like Clarkson and Parise to linger around the net looking for loose pucks to jam in.

I want to shy away from the kovy & zids blue line PP unit.... niether one right now has the recovery speed to go for pucks behind them, too much of a liability IMHO. Switch it up, can't have both on the same line when the rags are blocking shots.

Again, shoot high to make them pay the price for blocking shots, or soft/low shots to try and get some weird bounces, break up their little wall a bit. I have also become quite terrified by the Kovy/Zids PP pairing. Zids gets caught minimum once a game pinching and Kovy is just about the last guy I want trying to stop a 2 on 1 or breakaway.

DeBoer reunited Zach Parise with Travis Zajac and Ilya Kovalchuk on the top line and also put back together the second line of Petr Sykora, Patrik Elias and Dainius Zubrus and the third line of Alexei Ponikarovsky, Adam Henrique and David Clarkson. The fourth line of Ryan Carter, Stephen Gionta and Steve Bernier was the only combination to remain intact

I agree with this alot.... The droping the pass back to the point for the shot worked great against the cryers, but this is not them. The rags have a much better D and goalie so we have to adjust. Hopefully this is what the coach will do. Adjust to win these types of games against teams like these... No time for being fancy, just get it done with good puck movement, hard hitting and hit the net with your shots (the ones that get threw anyway)....

We gotta take this one tonight..,.. lets show we can hang with them...

You have to fake the shot & knee him in the face.... Or at least skate around him for a better shot..... And it helps when your stick doesn't break.
