1-Lakers play in the WC. The Cavs play in the EC.

2-James worst team when he led them to the Finals vs the Spurs. Kobe's bad teams with Smush Parker, Chris Mihm, Kwame Brown, and co was way worse than the players James had on the team that played vs the Spurs. That Lakers squad in the EC might have made the postseason. And they were pathetically bad.

Kobe didn’t even make the playoffs so yeah. That Finals team Lebron led wasn’t his worst team, they had a great defense. Still just as bad as that Lakers team and they beat the champion Pistons. This defense is the worst in the league. I will say the West was better than the East but Kobe still didn’t make the playoffs so the argument is pointless to compare

The only sport I can think or where the road doesn’t matter as much is in hockey imo. Every other sport is basically the same especially in the playoffs. It’s one postseason though

Home court/field/ice definitely matters in sports(hockey being the least important as you said)

But basketball is the only one where I constantly see entire rosters go completely inept(except a player like Lebron). I mean it’s a court, ball and hoop with the same regulations and these teams are playing blatantly worse. Not occasionally, but every single game.
