The eagles are already well over the hard cap. No transactions needed. So what is the NFL not gonna allow?
thats next year this year they are under

next year hasnt happened yet so they will need to adjust before the start of next year
hell they dont even know what the cap for next year is

Possibly but Dalton's been around a while now. Wentz's is still kind of young.
I agree, Dalton has shown he's no longer an NFL starter, but a solid NFL back up.

Seeing how he lives in Dallas in the offseason and went to TCU, I expect him to resign with Dallas

@JohnShadows did PE1 ever answer u
No, but another poster we unbanned showed up yesterday. The PM I sent him triggered an email, so it depends on whether PE1 has that setting turned off, as to whether he gets one.

If he does come back, I'm sure you and @dbldwn711 will show some compassion and understanding for your hooplan brother.

The trade would look something like:

Eagles trade Carson Wentz, a 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick and a 5th round pick in 2022
Eagles receive nothing

Meh, I'm not sure it's quite that drastic. The Eagles would definitely have to sweeten the pot but him and a 2nd and maybe eat some cash for a 3rd rounder and possible future considerations is not totally out of the realm of possibility. There will be some teams inquiring if they see the potential of fixing him. He will never be elite, imo but he could be a viable starter for a team in need.

0.0 logic to the Eagles giving up assets to get rid of Wentz.

This board is filled with a lot of stupid.
He is like...the 33rd or 34th best QB in the NFL, and he is injury prone, and he is being paid like the #8 QB. Why would someone voluntarily take that on?

Probably 4 or 5 QBs going rd1 next year

Not only the liklihood of those drafted but possibly 3-4 QBs available tgat are already in the league. Darnold likely a trade piece. Winston a FA possibly although Payton says he will get a shot after Brees retires. Don't see how they sign him with their cap situation. Rumors about Stafford and the Lions parting ways.

The thing is Wentz has never been particularly good at any one repeatable thing. His “almost MVP” year was fueled in large part by 3rd down variance.

Don’t doubt there is a sucker, but there really shouldn’t be.

mechanical, awareness, mental. thats alot of fixing
It is a lot but Reich seems like he was the guy that kept Wentz straight during practice and games. This coaching staff doesn't have a clue and it's shown over the last couple of years Wentz started.
