I think it's a pdf page - not sure if you need acrobat or reader installed to access it.

They mostly tracked the Wild and Flyers, along with the Sabres last year. They made note of how the Wild played a poor system for the talent it had and how the Flyers could have been so much better if Wanye Simmonds didn't dump the puck in so much and Danny Briere didn't pass so much.

I'd imagine if they tracked Phoenix and thier trap last season their results may have been slightly different.

And yes, with the conference going on, it may be hit or miss opening the page - it's worked for me 4 out of 6 tries so far.

Edit: They tracked full season for the Wild and Flyers, half seasons for the Caps and Sabres, and 7-10 games for the remiander of the teams

I didn't read the entire thing (looked at the charts), but did it account for the number of times when teams dump the puck in to facilitate a change?
sending in one forechecker to slow up proceedings isn't quite a chase, but it'll affect the data if its counted as such.

I was thinking the same thing.

So dump and change plays as the authors' calls them were removed algorithmically from the shift charts being used.
