Pitt led 19-3 at the half, as I was starting this thread Duke got a long TD with 1:29 left to take the lead

They're up 30-26, currently setting up to go for 2

It took Pitt 30 seconds to get into Duke territory

Then Pitts gets a penalty for their receiver going out of bounds and being the first to touch the ball

"That's bullshit" you could hear Pat Narduzzi yell at the ref

In not sure why no one noticed but the refs called Pitt for illegal touching on a 3rd and 4 completion but when they replayed the down they never penalized Pitt the yards . They ended up converting and then scoring . Literally no one said a word about it on the broadcast . Should've been 3rd and 9

Really? That's bizarre, I'd think the Duke sideline would explode with rage seeing that happen

Yep nobody caught it . It was literally like the play never happened . Next play they gained 6 yards do would've been 4th and 3. Instead it was first down and they scored on the next play

Not a proud moment for ACC officials there, I was too occupied with the broadcast picking up Narduzzi yelling at the refs

Ultimately it doesn't really matter as Pitt scored 2 plays later but maybe Duke plays a different coverage on a 4th down ? Or maybe Pitt makes a different play call .
