This is a very tough loss for a team headed toward the playoffs.

guess they will be losing the #1 seed now.
A shame, I was rooting for Brees to go out on top!

Now Brady will go ahead in the TD record as well

Already was playing with sore ribs. Now he also has a collapsed lung. That sounds kind of serious.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Falcons won both of those games.

Yeah, this is really gonna help the Falcons get back in the race a bit should one of the teams in the west fade.

Jameis isn't a bad backup lol.

Handing 2 wins to the Falcons like the Saints is Drew Brees and nothing else is a poor take.

Did you not see the Saints last year without Brees?

They'll be fine. It is an easy part of the schedule. Drew could take the next month off and they should win 3 of the next 4

incredible to me that they're saying only 2-3 weeks. i heard that today while working and was like, "WHAT?!" dude has cracked ribs on BOTH sides of his rib cage AND a collapsed lung?? I mean, my GOD. . . if I were Brees, I'd look at Payton and be like ,"um, yeah, i guess i'll be seeing you next July when camp commences, good luck"

Brees has prolly the weakest arm of any NFL starter.

Jamieis should open up that offense to more than just dink and dunk passes. I'm looking forward to watching him personally.

One thing about optimism
It often lacks realism

Brees led the the Saints with all of his lacking ability to the #1 seed in the NFC.
Listen to you. Makes me think Now that they got Winston It should be a runaway.

Only I believe people (like you) are forgetting Intelligent Qbs has always outplayed the physically gifted QB that is lacking in intelligence.

Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Drew Brees. None were as physically gifted. (sure there are plenty more examples)
There is a laundry list of failed Physically gifted Qbs.

I would take a healthy Drew Brees over about 90% of the QBs in this league.

A month ago the Bears were the top seed. A month from now, who knows, there's a few options.

90% only leaves three QBs. I can't put Brees in that territory at this point.

This is less of a hit to NO than losing a QB would be to almost every other team imo. Raiders, Miami, Indy, Jets.... Washington rolling with Alex Smith prolly the only situation that's better than NO's plan B.

Chicago going back to Mitch could be right there too.

Ribs don't take that long to heal
