Don Orsillo: NESN Announcer for Boston Red Sox to Leave at End of MLB Season, Report Says
Orsillo will no longer take part in Red Sox broadcasts on NESN after this season, WEEI reported on Tuesday morning. He has been the play-by-play announcer since 2001.

don did pittsfield mets games when i was in college and the field announcer.

Blech. Remy and Orsillo weren't the most insightful announcing team, but they made the games a lot of fun to watch/listen to, even when the Sox have been at their worst. And they were able to do it without taking away from what was going on on the field. Going to miss listening to him.

That sucks, I remember meeting him when he was doing providence basketball games every once and a while. Seemed like a nice guy. Wonder who the sox get as PbP??

ratings.... Um.... How about because the Red Sox have been SUCKING (now seeming to be getting better) and not because of Remy and Orscillo. NESN f'd this one up! But Dave O'Brien should be good
