For the first time in a while, I could say the Flyers have a pretty good defensive pipeline. The emergence of Lauridsen last season plus the acquisition of Morin & Hagg has really bolstered what was once a weakness.

I have to admit that I'm very pleased that the Flyers are now willing to groom their own dmen. Just have to wait and see if they can be patient in doing so. Historically, dmen and goaltending have been the weakest link w this organization. I'm kind of excited to see Morin grow through his development phases. Same as Ghost. Let other teams be the desperate teams in trade and not the Flyers for once. Nice article as always by Meltzer.

Since he is only 18 (just had a bday) who knows what will happen. He needs to grow into a tall frame without losing what has been described as good skating ability. Hopefully he can develop a good shot. He looks to be headed for shut down defender. The good news is that he wants to work on his offense. Someone like Hal Gill was probably happy with the title of "shut down defender". Good news is that he does have Pronger to teach him.

From what I read and have seen (which is 2 games in person) Ghost has a big shot considering he is all of 5-10 170 lbs. I would like to see him add another 10-15 lbs so he doesn't get killed. Kimmo is 5-10 and 194. He has been a great offensive player and very good defensively mostly from positioning. We can only hope he wants to stay around when he is finished playing to help Ghost and Hagg.

The future looks good!!!!!
