Game Thread: Denver @ Ravens

This game was a microcosm of the entire season.

• Anemic offense
• Spectacular defense until the final Baltimore drive
• One point game
• Hope provided, then dashed

This Broncos fan is exhausted. This season has sucked all the air out of my love for the NFL.

I could say you jinxed it, but we both know that had nothing to do with it.

With the way the year has gone I had zero confidence in our defense to hold the lead. And that’s not entirely their fault as an Offense that only results in 3 FG’s you can only do so much,

Two really stupid and hard to explain penalties on the last Ravens drive. Another infuriating last-second defensive collapse.

Defense will be getting a ton of passes from me. They have played excellent all season. Holding any NFL team to 10 is above and beyond.

Offense is so fucking bad that they can’t even score 10. Fire all the offensive coaches, cut all the players and use scrubs for the next 2-3 years while we get a proper rebuild going.

That game was so emblematic of this brutal season. Winning and controlling the game, but still can't put points on the board. Defense dominating until they collapse at the end with stupid penalties and letting the QB beat them with legs. Can't overall fault the defense entirely, but man this nightmare just gets worse and worse.

I seriously don’t know what more the Broncos need to see from Hacket. This guy should be fired from his NEXT team for this dismal performance. I am usually a lot slower on the fire bandwagon. But this is a historic level waste of defense through inept offense. In todays NFL it isn’t a big ask to score 18 PPG, and that point total in regulation would have this team at 9-2. But here we are…

The obvious bad thing about firing mid season is you can't change the offense, and unfortunately he's likely the best one to fix things, even with the odds stacked against him.

But yeah, every fiber of my being not based in logic says to can him now.
