We're facing Jarred Cosar tonight, another young pitcher who has shown promise,
but has yet to face pennant race pressure.

Dempster has, but as we already know is not very consistent.

Probably won't make any large vCash bets on this one, but a smallish
"loyalty" play on the Red Sox is probable.

GO RED SOX! :yahoo:

An error I didn't notice until too late to use the "Edit" feature.

The opposing starter's last name is "Cosart" with a "t" at the end.

My bad.

Let's hope our batters can rattle the inexperinced Cosart, because if Dempser
isn't on his game we could be in trouble.

We might need some bat-around innings tonight. It's not as if we've ever done it, but...

:hope:

We gotta win tonight and take the series. You can't lose a series against Houston.

I wanted the sweep, but I'll take 2 out 3.

A more sensible attitude than the previous post.

It would not be good to lose a series against a young team,
but it would be only a disappointment, not a disaster.

Nice to see Dempster got through the 1st on only 10 pitches while the rook needed 23.

Keep running up that pitch count, Red Sox!

The 2nd pitch WAS a strike, Salty!

The 1st I'm not so sure about.

Salty catching yet another game I'm not thrilled with.

ANY catcher can get worn out if he never gets to DH or get an off-day.

Can't expect a pitcher to get through every on only 10 pitches, but more of those from Dempster
would be enjoyable.

Just how many leads has Dempster blown his season? :noidea:

Would that info be available online anywhere?

GET THE LEAD BACK, BOSTON!

We're still winning the pitch count battle. Good indication that we will get the lead back, even if it's no a guarantee.

GO RED SOX!

Dempster not having walked anyone yet is even better than his having 5 Ks.

FYI, at his current pace Dempster would only need 124 pitches to get a CG. Cosart, by contrast, would need 162.

FYI, the Houston reliever has walked 4.1 batters/9 innings in his career so far.

Very promising for or side.

This better be Dempster's last inning.

Why was Dempster allowed to come back out after blowing his 2nd lead of the game?

Anyone?

When did we last do that?
