Just heard this news. Very sad. I had the experience of going to DT’s house a few years back. Shocking

33 years old... seems like the cause of death is still unknown? Wow... I thought he was older than 33.

Reading some of the past teammates of DT's there are obviously a lot of nice things being said. One of the one's that sticks out to me which I think we can all envision this with DT being a long time Bronco is a story by Max Garcia.

Max said every year the Broncos would go out and one of them would be Santa Claus in the community. Fans never really knew who was playing the role of Santa but when DT played the role of Santa everyone would know because he couldn't hide behind his smile.

I have fond memories is Tom Tebau throwing that pass to beat the Stealers.
Brilliant post. Take a (te)bow.

He was fun to watch while with the Broncos. After R. Smith is he the team's 2nd best wr of all time?

I remember when we signed Peyton. Everyone was going crazy with excitement on the radio. And then they interviewed DT. He was pretty solemn and said that he knew that Manning was going to be demanding and expect perfection. He really sounded intimidated.

And then today I see where Peyton said that after every touchdown DT would come over and thank him. And then say, “Thank you for coming to Denver.”

Really touching today to see all the quotes from not only former teammates, but people from all over the NFL who had the highest regard for DT as a person - even more so than as a player.

Anyone else remember the arguments when we took DT over Dez? Cowboys took Bryant right after we took DT. I remember being disappointed we took DT instead of Dez.

I’ve never been so glad to be wrong.

D. Thomas was a top 3 WR in the NFL for 5 or 6 years. His 80 yard OT snatch against the Stealers on the Tim Tebow pass was one of the most exciting moments I've had as a Bronco's fan - and it is an iconic moment in NFL history too. Early in his career - he was money on the WR screen - breaking tackles - making guys miss and outrunning everyone to the endzone. It took the Broncos years to find out that - that was hard for other guys to do.

I'm glad we've had him as a player - a man and a community presence. Rest in peace -indeed!

I always admired how DT handled that years when we weren't winning and when he wasn't catching 100 passes and scoring double digit TD's. Those years sucked and still suck for us but I always felt the way he handled those years speaks volumes for what type of person DT is. You don't get that often with star WR's.
