This is crazy close.

I think 1st and 3rd is a toss up. both lineups have strengths and weaknesses, but overall they balance out.

In the 2nd and 4th, the big matchups are clearly in favor of Shane. The backcourt + SF matchups are equally one sided in favor of WLK. In the end though, I think Payton slows Magic more than McAdoo slows Hakeem. While Allen will abuse Mullin, Mullin will score fairly easily on Allen as well.

I vote Shane by a whisker.

Nice try. Most of those were in Payton's rookie year lol

This is one of the most difficult votes I have ever had to make.

I am trying to figure out who has the advanatge when it comes to Hakeem vs McAdoo or Magic shooting over Payton and destributing.

I cant even imagine how good Magic and Payton would have been together, it's like a match made in Heaven. I find it difficult to imagine Mullin being able to chase Jesus Shuttlesworth around for 12 solid minutes without just running out of gas. On the flip Hakeem would absolutly destroy McAdoo IMO. Amazing defense down low for Shane as well.

I don't see a huge advantage for either team in the 1/3 both are solid.

I think Magic being 5 inches taller than Payton makes his distributing abilty a thing of concern for Shane but with the defense Shane has WLK's 2/4 squad will have a time time scoring, Magic and Allen will have to do nearly all the scoring. Allen is only an inch shorter than Mullin and has more quicks so Mullin probably ain't doing a heck of a lot, it was mentioned he was great from 3 but he made 90+ 3's only once in his career, Allen average nearly three a game for his career.

I may be wrong but I guess I just feel Shane has more scoring options, Hakeem from 5 feet is always a better shot than Magic or Allen from outside.

I gotta lean Shane and I feel bad already before even clicking post.

Magic's final season was 90-91 Allen's first season was 90-91
