Fish got Burger
EdRod invoked his no trade clause and refused to go to the doyers

LOL DOYERS.
Burger is terrible, can't field, can't hit or walk except once in a while he hits a bad pitcher's mistake out. Pass.

And the Mets are paying most of the salary
The Mutts are getting 2 decent prospects in return (one of which is really good, I believe). Expensive “mistake” for the Mutts FO, but at least they are getting some baseball assets out of it.

I still like the package that we sent the Bo Sox for Pablo better.

The Mets seem to have unlimited money so they can do this. Load up, doesn't work, trade them away and pay half the salary for good prospects and load up again next year. Rinse and repeat, maybe you win

And just 10 years ago, that franchise was practically destitute.

We are at the deadline.

But a few years ago (‘21?) a bunch of Giants trades were ANNOUNCED after the deadline passed.

Looks like FZ didn't do a god damned thing. MLB TV was just saying "Giants didn't do anything, Reds didn't do anything..."

Not happy. Oh well, fun meaningless season again.

I just get the feeling that the Giants aren't going to do anything.

With nothing happening it’s time to put the rooks on the field on a regular basis and no more platooning. Let them show why they were not trade bait.

Pretty easy to post that 4 minutes after the deadline...
I was assuming as often happens that trades show up half an hour after the deadline all the time and they are in the sausage maker at the league offices. :)

That's what they've been doing because of all the injuries. Rookie catcher(s), SS/2B, CF, relievers playing every day
