I wonder what Detroit wants for him.

I'm kind of shocked they are giving up. Detroit has the kind of team that could string together a 10-game winning streak at any time. They are 4 GB from the 2nd WC and need to catch the Astros and Twins, two teams I don't think anyone realistically thinks is making the post-season.

Dbacks should not obtain Price or Cespedes as rentals since they are done for the year.

Dbacks are not buyers. I hope someone manages to take Hill from us. Also a Chris Owings minor league trip is long overdue.

We don't appear to be getting anything going. I'm personally not ready to give up, but reality is beginning to set in. We could also sign Price and/or Cespedes after the season, they both like Detroit.

After seeing what Detroit got for Price, it wouldn't have been worth it for the D-backs to part with that much young talent. They aren't making the playoffs with or without Price.

Cueto, Price, & Hamels all returned a very good haul. Cueto & Price was way too much for us to pay for a rental that would lead us 'maybe' to a WC spot. Hamels returned the most with the #2, #3, & #5 prospects plus more from the Rangers.

The good news is that Cueto & Price won't cost a draft pick now to sign.
