...And so begins his career as a Met. Here's hoping Buck prolongs the hot streak for, oh...the rest of the season. :gaah:

Hope in one hand and crap in the other, see which one fills up first.:laugh3:
I should have guess you'd post here, guess I'm a little slow.

Yeah, seems a bit quiet around here. I think everyone's in mourning for d'Arnaud. :bullshit:

Guess that Stanton trade is on hold

And that might be a good thing. Love to have him, but the more I think about it, if Harvey's name comes up, it would have to be a resounding "no". :hellno:

It's unfortunate, hopefully he can recover quickly enough to get some time in the majors this season. Next season is really when we need him ready to go, anything he can do this year is just an added bonus.

Both Stanton and d'Arnaud seem pretty injury prone so far.

Would love for the Mets to get Stanton but i do not see that happening

Stanton is to young for the Mets and he hasn't had enough injuries yet. Maybe in another 6 years (and 6 DL trips) when he cost $15 million a year they can get him

You're living in the past there Jimmy. So far Sandy Alderson has made pretty much all the right moves. Have some faith in him. He's a moneyball guy so I trust his decision making.

Alderson and his staff are the best move the Wilpons ever made. Are they actually responsible for that?:omg:

Haha, there is a theory that after major league baseball loaned $25 million to the Mets to keep them afloat they basically stepped in and forced Sandy Alderson on them (Alderson had a front office gig with MLB at that point if I'm not mistaken). Basically them saying, listen, you're too incompentent to get yourselves out of this mess so we're giving you somebody that can.
