Love the guy, but hats off to the Rams for passing on a long term deal with DA. The guy just can't stay on the field. I love the decisions this front office makes. :suds:

He was actually nursing that groin injury before game 1, but re-aggravated it in the first half. He battled through it in the second half, but the Pats would be best served to let him rest it this week, especially with the short week (they play Thursday).

Where is that Patriot dude that was on these pages back in the summer ragging on the thread about Rams fans condemning the Patroits for thinking this guy was actually going to be able to last a full season let alone a few games. And I distinctly remembering writing on the post that his frame just does not have the durability for the pro game for any length of time. The response was something to the effect that I did not know what I was talking about and that DA would be fine. Guess again there Pats Fans!!

Retro, that's why I posted this thread, I remember that well and was using this as bait. Numbers don't lie. 18 games in two seasons with the Rams. The math is simple here who made the right decision, eh?

He signed a guaranteed 2 year contract. I'll look at what he's produced for them in February 2015 to gauge whether he was value for money. 2 years of Amendola vs 1 year of Laurinaitis vs 1 year of Finnegan. In the meantime good luck to him.

Laurinaitis and Finnegan are about more than production, imo. We need some veterans to help these young guys along. I doubt JL or Finnegan are going to live up to their contracts at all in terms of production.

What the... Clayton. Finnegan and Laurinaitus have more than lived up to their contracts in terms of production when Laurinaitus leads the team each year in tackles and assists and Finnegan is working on his at rate that will indicate production nearly on the level of other CBs on the team and league.

So glad the Rams passed on him

Give me Cook and Austin over Amendola any day of the week.

Heard that with the groin injury they are looking at up to 6 weeks without Danny. He makes the most out of what he has - and shreds his body doing it. I wish him well, but yeah, looks like the Rams made the right choice at this point.

I would agree, but also think that his style of play has as much to do with it as his build/frame...He very seldom tries to avoid a bit hit (it worked pretty well for Holt and Bruce)...This isn't condusive to being free of injuries for any length of time...Having said that I love the guys heart...I was sorry to see him walk, but I thought it was in the best interest of the Rams, especially with Austin in the fold...
