Looks like we get their 1-3 starters, lets get 2 of these somehow and make it a 7-3 homestand.

Hey, what about me? Every time I make a comment about the state of affairs (whether good or bad), the opposite happens.

i think 90% of bucco nation make that statement when we go through the lineup the first time and get nothing. we are just conditioned that way from the last 20 years.
it is our pavlovian response.
we dont drool, we whine about the lack of offense, unreliable starting pitching, lack of depth, poor GM, and dimwitted game manager.

hopefully this years team continues the unconditioning started intermittently over the last 2 years and conditions some new hopeful responses with their timely and surprising efforts through the year and in each game with different people each game doing little things that get over the hump.

we are a psychology test in progress, so dont get lost in the maze.

It's good that the offense is going through a skid when playing two of the worst teams in the league, and the Pirates are still winning.

Grilli and Melancon have both pitched 3 outa the last 4 days, they both out tonight for sure, Grilli probably out rest of series after 35 pitches last night.


Our plan B relievers are better than their plan A though, lets get Smaalkjja's pitch count up early and get to their bp for another late win

grilli has pitched 3 out of 4 nites and long inning of 36 pitches last nite.

i let liriano try, then use wilson and mazarro. morris if necessary and not to rizzo.
watson only to a lefty.

it would be nice to get breathing room in the eighth.

7-2 on the homestand so far. Win or lose tomorrow, this has been a very successful stay in the 'Burgh. I would prefer a win, though.
