Chris Russell has reported that Kirk hired john gruden to work with him this offseason. I find this very interesting. Of course Jay was aware of it. The question is did jay encourage it? If so, does this mean that Jay sees Kirk as a real possibility as a starter next year? And why not RG3? Or did he also encourage RG3 and was rebuffed?

Read the same story. Makes me wonder if Jay benched Cousins to save his confidence. The fact Kirk is working with his head coaches brother is very eye catching?

no way to know any of those questions . what we should take from this is KC is trying to up his game .

Jay cant work directly with Kirk. But nothing in the CBA prevents John from working with Kirk on a hired basis. And I doubt anything would prevent Jay and John from having weekly visits like some brothers do.

We can only hope. I'll say this. This is a shot over the bow of USS RG3. He better realize that cousins is serious and so is gruden. This year may make or break RG3s career.

Everyone had the notion that if any qb from this team would be traded it was KC after reading this post I'm not so sure. To be honest with you guys I really wouldn't be surprised if this staff goes into Lucas Stadium tomorrow trying to shop RG3 for trade bate and yes even if it's a 4th round

trading either of them for less than a 2nd rounder would be a mistake. Handing either of them the starting job before week 4 of the preseason would also be a mistake. We need to make them compete for the job, and trading either of them defeats the purpose.

I wish both QBs were working with Chucky to develop their skills. I would ask all the QBs to work with a specialist after the past few seasons. Its a huge shot at RG3 if he wasn't asked to attend. Its even bigger if he refused the invitation. Of course this is all speculations so in the end I just hope we have or find our starter by the time preseason starts.

the unknown is will Dan let him be traded. If they do decide to trade him, they need to wait a bit. At least until after the draft. At that point, there may be teams that didn't get their QB and are desperate. Someone like the Jets. The ideal scenario would be that Mariota falls to us and we trade back with Cleveland for both their 1sts. The jets get leapfrogged and are left out of the QB hunt. They then trade for RG3. Who knows, maybe we get their 2nd or 3rd.

Let's see, the QB competing for the stating position hires the coach's brother to ''help'' him out.
