I need to replace an LCD Inverter in an Asus F8S laptop. Only thing is I can't find one with the exact P/N # to match it for a reasonable price. I found one for $23 and all the letters/numbers match except the last but it does say it's compatible with the F8S laptop. Will it work?

make sure your laptop doesnt have an updated system board. My HP laptop was shipped with one, then they started shipping with a newer model, so ordering parts is a pain in the ass because both are made for Pavilion#### laptops, but have different connectors for either board.

But anyways, the inverter I pulled out of the laptop is a 7-pin connector and so is the one I asked about.
