Cody Journell and others were charged in an "alleged" home invasion last night in Blacksburg. WTF??? If found guilty he may be off the team...PERIOD (Class 2 felony). Looks like Branthover may be our guy sooner than later.

Per VT, any student-athlete charged with felony is suspended from playing or practicing until charges are dropped, dismissed or resolved.

We have over 3 weeks left until the game. I'm sure Danny Coale could learn how to kick field goals in that time.

He should be kicked off for being involved in that. VT needs to run a tight program especially these days. Dumb ass was a good kicker too so that sucks. Get DC out there on the practice field kicking FGs with the others. Might we actually go for it a few times on 4th a short if we are shaky at kicker?

I would say definitely. If the OL is playing good enough and it is 4th and <2 or 3 between the 40's, LT up the gut all day (even though you know Hoke is going to be expecting that). After all, this bowl game is MUST win as far as the respect, reputation, and perception of this program, this year anyway. VT has nothing to lose in this game and everything to win. Noone is really even giving us that much of a shot. I hope the coaching staff takes this mentality to N'Awlins and has a couple tricks up their sleeve.

BLACKSBURG, Va. UPDATED: 12:15 p.m.—

Blacksburg police say three men were charged with breaking and entering Wednesday night including Virginia Tech kicker, Cody Journell. Also arrested were Matthew Dunton and Matthew Brady. All three men are in the Montgomery County jail.

Police are calling the incident a home invasion in the downtown Blacksburg area.

In a statement Thursday morning Virginia Tech Athletics Director, Jim Weaver, said: "Virginia Tech redshirt sophomore placekicker Cody Journell is immediately suspended indefinitely from the football team in conjunction with University Policy 1035."

Arrest warrants indicate Journell, Dunton and Brady went to a home on Lee Street "over an issue of being cheated in a drug transaction." The warrants say Dorenzo Hudson and Sean Allen live at the Lee Street address.
