Texans ceiling was 2 wins with a rookie QB and rookie coach. What Cleveland endured was pretty remarkable but I wouldn't say it was franchise changing.
Ceiling was 2 wins? seems extremely low in a very weak division. Yes, a rookie QB but was not hard to think he'd be a lot better than the garbage they had last year at QB.

again he was deserving but all the division winners had their #1 QB for all or nearly all of their games. Browns won more games than many of them with 5 QBs.

still hard to fault anyone who picked Ryans, though.

Ceiling was not 2 wins, no need for people to rewrite history to make Ryans look better. The Texans should have had 5-6 wins at most but he made them into a playoff team and quickly turned around the mood of the entire franchise.

He's is coach of the year for sure.

Bad team is a bad team regardless what the division looks like.
Bryce Young would not have gotten Houston to the playoffs so a defiantly not a given being better that the crap they had last year.
You make a nice point for your coach and probably in a different year he would have won it.

as I said, thought our guy stood a decent shot but hard to argue with Ryans as the choice.

A lot of teams seemed to overachieve this year, but damn the Browns played some of the best football of anybody winning 4 straight with Joe Flacco at QB.

AFC North was probably the toughest division in the league with the Bengals in dead last at 9-8 as well.

Yes, they shit the bed at home vs the Texans in the playoffs, but that was a tremendous coaching job for a team that beat both the Ravens and the 49ers this year.

Campbell wins by default.. nobody thought the Lions would be on the brink of the Super Bowl 60 years ago.
