Boy that Doug Fister trade really sucked.

Didn't see that SI article... Too bad our top picks are not working out as well as the Nats Harper and Strasburg. It seems like our minor league pitching is deep so if any of them work out at the Major league level then thats great but we still need some big time hitters to work their way to the majors.

I'm Seahawks_8 from CBS. I posted on another thread with some of the CBS guys that you and Kae should come over, but then seahawks234 brought me up to speed that you/cotton were already here as blade. These boards already seem better! Glad to see some familiar faces.

It's not pliling on the Mariners, it's just news, and telling news of their situation/problems at that.

Brendan Ryan is a great defensive shortstop, but he’s hitting .143 this season after hitting .194 last year and the Mariners have decided to bench him.
Greg Johns of MLB.com reports that Robert Andino will take over as the starting shortstop, with Ryan shifting into a utility man role. Of course, Andino is hitting just .163 this season and is a career .233 hitter with a .615 OPS that’s actually lower than Ryan’s career .626 mark.
Andino also hasn’t played shortstop regularly in a while, starting more than 25 games there for the last time back in 2009, and will almost surely be a sizable downgrade from Ryan. Seattle has a lot bigger problems offensively than which light-hitting shortstop plays most, but manager Eric Wedge obviously feels like he has to do something.

Surprised to see Brendan Ryan benched. I don't think Andino can hit any better than him and I feel like even if Brendan Ryan hit .190 his roster spot would be justified because of how well he plays defense.

I'm sure you mean your avatar. Profile picture only appears on your profile page to visitors. Under userCP click on Edit Avatar to change the picture under your name on forum posts.
