Can't wait for April to get here again

When it's time for the show

April shines through my window

The crack of the bat

the smack of ball in the mitt

Baseball my friend

Shows up on time every day

Through the summer days and nights

All the way to a Halloween night

When the goblins and costumes are gone

So is my baseball until April

Looking forward to that April day

when everything starts up again

So when it's raining or snowing

during the wintertime

I will be thinking of springtime

when the sun comes out

and it's time to play ball again

So here is a toast to April

with a glass of wine or beer

To say hello once again
