Its funny ... aside from my extreme hate for the New York Football Giants. I think I hate the hockey rivals far more (Devils, Bruins, Rangers and of course the Penguins). But I dont care about hockey near as much as baseball or football

yes, hes phenomenal...probably the best in the world right now...but...he wasnt gonna shut this team out, nor carry them last night. hell, he scored one of the goals for the bruins off his back as he flailed around.

and jagr is a total puck hog. last series, he even took a puck of marchands stick only to lose it himself. hes dead on his feet after the 2nd period too.

Rock its one game man LOL ... Hank is very capable of blanking you guys from her on out. Unlikely (like for anyone), but he could very well do it.


Also, not sure about Jagr. His game here last year was as a distributor. he def controlled the puck but it was to open the ice up for Hartsy and Giroux. He was excellent in that role last year. Could just be a difference in systems making it appear that way.

you sure about that? nasty...the rangers dominated for a total of 2:24 between 2 seconds left in the second and the first 2:22 of the third...outside of that, the bruins had the physical edge and played faster. krug and bartkowski can fly, and those fresh legs worked. it wasnt totally one sided for the bruins, but the rangers were outplayed for a majority of the game in every facet, sans those 2 minutes or so.

pickles, jagr is gassed...gassed to the point where he is on 20 second shifts at best. after the first period, hes basically useless unless hes right off the bench with a puck on his stick.

What a teriffic game last night. Things I predicted that came true:

torey krug can play, and the combination of him and bartkowski with those fresh fast legs was a difference maker.

lundquvist is a great goalie, but hes not tim thomas from 2 years ago. he isnt capable of carrying a team on his back for an entire playoff run. he played his ass off last night (45 saves, 48 shots)..but rask was just that much better.

other notes:

'rad' marchand stepped up like he had to. chris kelley was like a wild man on the ice last night in every phase of the game.

jagr is a total puck hog who just dances around with the puck along the boards til he loses it

the bruins hit the iron 4 times last night

the curse of 'dont let them score in the last minute of a period' didnt phase the bruins. aside from a 2:24 span from the goal with 2 seconds left in the 2nd thru 2:22 into the 3rd, the bruins basically dominated the game.

You guys know we have a NHL board and this thread. Not that having this one is wrong or bad or anything but more Bruins fans in the NHL forum would be nice!!
