OUr new defensive line-up is vastly improved, but I would rather see MAB as our 7th over Adreas "the human pylon" Lilja.

Yea this is definitely true and I agree with it. I think he'll be back as our 6th next year unless we an sign some quality d-men on the cheap. Yes, Gusty did get sent down already. Was it just me or was anyone else not impressed with what they saw with Gusty? I think MAB was the better of the 2 even with some of the dumb rookie mistakes, he just seemed to be more what we need a big body who can play physical.

Is +/- really a way to measure the 2 of them with how bad the goalies have been though?

its the only stat i use for defensemen. but i favor gust either way just by watching. i think bourdon makes more mistakes and doesnt have the speed to make up for it like gust can.

Bourdon lost all his confidence. He's so indecisive with the puck now. I loved him a coiple months ago but now he just takes forever to make decisions

He's prob 2nd guessing himself since the goalies typically don't make big saves if the team makes a mistake in the defensive zone.

if we are not allowed to blame bryz (and bob) for being bad because the defense is so bad, ya can't switch it around and blame the defense being bad because of the goalies. individually they all should be playing better.

Bourdon has been one of our worst players since the Winter Classic. He has been flat out lost out there. At least Matt Carle makes up for his turnovers....sometimes.
