Because think about it this way.......someone grills a T-Bone up for you to perfection......but before they serve it to you, they separate the meat from the bone for you.
You eat the meat and of course it's delicious.........but it's just a steak nugget, right?

Because bird wings have bones. Are boneless wings even wing meat?

Well, it's a New York Strip or fillet depending on which side they give you. You just can't compare fillets and chicken nuggets, Sir! It's un-American!!!
A bottle of Franks, a stick of butter and some garlic is the best sauce out there.
I've never had anyone "separate the meat" for me with a T-bone. The best meat is up against the bone IMO. I've never heard anyone advertise a "boneless T-bone steak".
I do believe to call something a "wing" it should have to have bone. Processed chicken from somewhere on the bird doesn't qualify as a "wing" to me.
