These are massive losses the Big 12's SOS is killed with so very few non conference games. OU will probably have to go undefeated this year to get in. OU has always gotten in with a loss. In fact we have made the playoffs 4 out of the last 5 years with a loss. Its so difficult to go undefeated, but will probably have to this year after this disaster for the Big 12.

You played, that is more than can be said for the B1G or Pac12 and will mean more in the long run. Your teams were winners for just taking the field.

I think the B1G and Pac12 fans are in denial on how damaging the impact is going to be on their leagues for sitting out. I think Michigan and Ohio State have a big enough name to be fine but the rest of their league is going to struggle to find recruits. The Pac12 was already treading water before COVID-19 with losing fan support and general declining interest in football on the West Coast. This will make things even worse for that league.

Hard to predict anything with the imbalanced schedule being played at different times. I'd say if OU only lost one and won their conference if the BIG and PAC haven't played a full season by January its likely OU would be in.

OU/Texas will be fine, with 2 of the P5's sitting out and the need for star power/ brand in the CFBPO as long as they (or Texas) don't flop around and have 2-3 loses then the B12 will be ok in that dept... THIS year.
Now for the rest of the conference... better go undefeated :lol:

Last time i checked ISU and KSU are their own teams. 2 teams do not determine the entire conference as a whole. And dont be surprised to see more games like thise, several teams have not had practice for very long like they normally would.

Of course now, if OU loses right out of the gate...
Pete Thamel;
"Sources: Expect Oklahoma to be significantly shorthanded against Missouri State tonight. There’s COVID positive tests, contact tracing, suspensions and injuries all contributing to that. The total number is unclear, but it’s significant."

Relax. There isn’t going to be a SOS this year. You can’t come up with an accurate one if the conferences don’t play each other. It’s is usually questionable in a normal year, until at least the bowls are finished, but this year is a straight up beauty pageant. That said, whether these were meaningful losses is yet to be seen. They are only meaningful if ISU and KSU have good showings in conference play.

Depends on what happens. You dont have a clue about how this will play out, none of us do. If massive covid outbreaks happen, the big 10 and pac12 look like geniuses. If the season happens with minimal impact, then yes, they will be losers and you guys will be winners.
