This is serious shit here fellas.. Drank Budweiser most of my life. I know for a fact it's watered down compared to the old school German beer it was made to be years ago. InBev has watered it down I know for a fact.

Anyone know of a good brew that's comparable to old school Budweiser? I know the grain is rice.. Water, Barley Malt, Rice, Yeast, Hops.

Fuck InBev. Bastards don't even make old school Michelob anywhere and stick to Michelob ultra for the gays

Not much of a beer guy anymore, but I definitely drank a fuckload of Bud in my youger days. I found that Rolling Rock was very similar when I tried it and though I've only had it a couple of times, I liked Yuengling as well.

Back in the day Coors original was great. It was before it was regulated by FDA. That’s why it was illegal on the east coast.

I drank Bud for a long time now if I do it gives me a headache.

Today I’m a miller light guy,

I just got back from Germany and the beer over there is really good and the alcohol content is around 7-8%
And it’s cheap. 1 euro for a pint.

Went to Belgium for a weekend and I will say they got way better beer than we do in the US.

What? You watch too many movies.

Coors was never illegal on the East Coast. The Coors Brewing Company was adamant that their "Banquet" beer stay cold from brew process to store since it had no preservatives and was not pasteurized. The cost of cold shipping across the country was prohibitive so Coors did not have a national distribution chain until the 80's.

There is some interesting info available that explains how the slow growth of states that the beer was available in was part of their marketing strategy. It made the beer seem exclusive to those in a state without distribution and helped get the eventual kick off rolling.

I remember stuffing 2 cases of Coors in my duffel bag and bringing it home from Denver in 1978. I went to a big party while I was here on leave and sold each 6 pack for more than I had paid for a case.

I was a regular entrepreneur :thumb:

More proof is I lived in St Louis a good bit of my life. I know plenty of people who worked at AB back in the day and now. Father worked for AB. Mother in law worked on the line at AB. She's retired but still hangs out with many who still work there. They say it's not close to what it used to be. Which led me to finally stop drinking Bud.

Think about it, it's not rocket science man. Perfect example is Old school Michelob? Gone. In its place Ultra. AB is gone. In-Bev isn't making legit beer, it's all light beer or watered down like Bud.

Like all the other cells in the body, those special sensory cells that make up the taste buds eventually wear out. As we age, the taste buds begin to disappear from the sides and roof of the mouth, leaving taste buds mostly on our tongue. The remaining taste buds eventually become less sensitive. Smoking and eating scalding liquids can damage them further. Our sense of smell also decreases as we get older, and smell and taste are intimately linked.

Yeah bro back then he got 3 cases a month back in the late 80s I was in 7th/8th grade. Our basement was loaded. I remember when Bud Dry came out. Loved that beer wish I could find it now

I picked up my stash of Founders CBS. If you haven't had it and like stouts it's worth the money.

Revolver looks interesting. Not so much the other. I am not a pale ale guy. Much more of a pilsner.
My favorite pilsner is

beer_717

But every other one seems to be skunked so I don't buy them and havent in a long time.

Today I drink mostly Heineken mixed in with seasonal stuff.

But when I go out for a beer I always get a beer that has some hop power and damn I goes down good

2018_DirtyBastard_Featured.jpg
they havent sold pilsner urquel in a green bottle since 2014....maybe thats why yours are always skunked

I believe it was Bud and Natural light that was 3.2% back in the day. I've never been a bud light guy. It's water to me

I drank a lot of Bud and Michelob some Michelob light. A lot of natty in the 90s from college too

Anyone remember this one? Had an uncle bring some from Missouri when I was a teen.

I love those old school cans with the peel backs. Found a Bud oldie when we peeled back the roof at the edge of the last house we lived in.

Never seen that beer tho
