once again it is proven how worthless most 'awards' are. rivera wins the mvp why? cause he pitched one perfect inning? why bother giving these things. all this was was a life achievement award nothing more. yet it will show in his resume that he was the all star mvp in 2013 ..... which he wasn't.

petty .... but this shit bothers me.

It didnt bother me too much ... I thought it a nice tribute for the guy in front of the NYC crowd.

I actually got goose bumps when they started playing "Enter Sandman" and he trotted to the mound while the CitiField fans and all the players gave him a standing "O" and just let him take the mound by himself. I thought that was pretty damn cool!!!
