The answer is very simple. NO. Haslem will not be the guy he used to be. He contributes very little. Yes he had a few games last year that were nice but his resigning was nothing more then Riley showing some loyalty to him. He could be brought in to be nothing more then an enforcer, pick up a couple hard fouls and put some guys in their place, but he lost his shot and his defense is lackluster now.

he can. Once we don't expect him to hit that jumpshot that he used to. He can still help us on defense with his ability to defend, rebounding ability, and ability to draw charges.

Factor? No but can be a solid role player if he is used as the 9th or 10th man

If given a fair chance, of which he wasn’t last season - for no justifiable reason - UD can still contribute significantly to this team. Hopefully, he does get a fair shot this time, so that people can more fairly judge him. If he doesnt get the PT he deserves it would be hard and unfair to judge him.

And, yes, obviously the Heat front office and its players are about loyalty - But I think loyalty has NOTHING to do with why UD was brought back. He was brought back because the Heat knew what he is capable of and the view it as something the team needs and wants.
