Old school country is WAY better than the new stuff. New country is nothing but rap or pop crap watered down and called country. I have to listen to country, because my girl likes it. But I'm a rock guy.

My family has a memory of me. I was about 7 or so. I asked "Santa" for a tape recorder, and a album of Oak Ridge Boys, and a cow boy hat. I had a plan.

My folks had a record player. I didn't know that they had cassettes with the music already on them back them. I was young. And this was way before cd's and MP3's.

So I used the album to make a copy on a blank cassette of "Elvira.. And then, I went up on a hill next to a road at my house. I played Elvira, with the cowboy hat over my eyes. I was a REAL cowboy. Or so I thought.

You ain't gonna believe this, but he quit before I could make the cd. On the bright side, I have a lot of new, good ole, country songs on my iPod now.
