Well my family came over for the 4th and it turns out my cousins decided I needed a new $20 game. I figured I'd give it a try and it has potential. But wtf do you do to stay amused?

It's a hard game to get into, but once you figure it out it came become a little addictive. Read a beginners guide to figure out the basics.

I played on a free site for a few months; it's pretty sweet once you get the basics down

Well, after two days of playing it I'd say I'm pretty addicted, it's a unique game.

Nope, and it won't let me put the leather armor on I made either...

Just the plain leather from cows I killed. Do I just have to dig deep to find the gold and diamond? I really have just been focusing on building a monster free fortress...

You have to fashion the leather into armor first; chest piece fills every spot on the table except the top middle. Legs are made of 7 pieces of leather, with the middle-most and middle bottom empty. Boots are four pieces, two on each of the left bottom/middle. Helmets are the top three spots plus one each on the middle right and middle left.

And to find diamonds and gold, dig to the very bottom (I usually made stair cases down) and then go up about 3-4 blocks from the undiggable stuff. Make branch mines (2 blocks high so you can walk and 8 blocks deep, total of 16) with a branch every three blocks. Should find plenty of iron, coal, and the occasional diamond/gold vein :thumb:
