So the F1 majordomos don't think that an Andretti sponsored team would be competitive. Hmmm, if teams must be competitive, then the grid should have (maybe) ten starters.
They are saying that thay are denying him entry on a number f things:
1 The Andretti name does not bring anything to F1, and that F1 would give the Andretti name more interest than the Andretti name would give F1.
2 Andretti is not prepared to build a new team from the ground up, and does not know what it would take.
3 GM's motor will not be ready until 2028.
So Andretti has spent 2 years jumping through every hoop that F1 and FIA have placed in front of him, but he is not prepared to start a brand new team. I guess Michael will have to complete the purchase of Spire Motorsports and get his soon into the Cup level of NASCAR.
