I'm just curious, why would a blue jays fan know/care who the Phillies have on their 40-man roster? I'm not saying I have a problem with it or anything, I just don't understand it

I play in a full 30 team Diamond Mind league with 43 player rosters that drafts prospects every year but cuts down to 25 players in the offseason and only allows teams to keep 4 players with no major league experience, so knowing 40 man rosters is valuable when drafting prospects so that you don't end up with a bunch of minor leaguers with little chance of getting a call up that you just end up having to drop. Plus I have a good memory. But even if I didn't know for sure that Franco wasn't on the 40-man I would have strongly suspected it given his age and the path of his professional career so far anyway.
