Series Thread: ALDS - M's at Houston

It's going to be a disgustingly expensive 3 day stretch for me Saturday through Monday.

I didn't sign up for the pre-sale for some idiotic reason, but plan to be at both the Saturday (and if it's played) the Sunday games in town. On Monday I'm going to Elton John's concert in Tacoma and although I technically already paid for it, those two tickets cost me like $700.

I feel stupid for asking this considering how many sporting events I attend a year, but does anyone have any idea when the tickets will be the cheapest? I'm far from a penny pincher, but I'd rather not be spending $300 for a nose bleed ticket if possible.

I'd have to take time off work to watch either of the games in Houston. Why have the games so early? Even if I was living on the east coast, I wouldn't be able to watch most of those games.

I'm pretty screwed for both. I might be able to watch part of Tue game, but I can't take days off just for playoff baseball.

The combo of time and channel just says this is basically their lowest value series.

You could have one of them do both games 1 and 5 so choose your weapon wisely. They may go with Logan for game 1, but we already know Castillo can handle the pressure and do it on the road in hostile conditions.

And who do you want at home in pivotal games 3 and 4?

Man I hate the Astros this will be a tough series. They were the team that ended our winning streak. Hopefully our momentum carries

I still say the ASB ended the M's winning streak more than anything. Not that I think the M's would have swept the Astros, but I'd love to see how that series would have gone had they rolled straight into it from the series down in Texas.

Game 3 - Kirby ( Brash for back up )
Game 4 - Gilbert ( Castillo / Munoz for backup if it is a must win to get to game 5 )
Game 5 - all hands on deck, whatever it takes to win

Servais needs to be real careful what relievers he marches out there to 'give them an inning of work' because that could cost us a ball game and the series. Skip better think twice about marching Sewald out to the bump to close out a tight game. Astros will score off Sewald.

Servais needs to go with the hot hand, Leave a reliver in for more than 1 inning if his stuff looks good and he is keeping the bats quiet and not walking hitters. His reliever decision making in TOR was a shit show.
