Or to some conspiracy theorists, Texas to the SEC since now they have Ark, Bama, FL, GA on it's future schedules lolI think playoff expansion is coming. That's part of the reason these kinds of games are being scheduled all of a sudden.

They definitely had some solid neutral games. I wont discredit the FSU win as no way to not think they wouldn't be a top program when that game was scheduled. The point about the lack of road games is solid (@ Duke in 2010 and @ Penn State in 2011) being the only two. However, they have played solid programs: Florida State x 2, Virginia, Tech x 2 , USC, West Virginia. Some of those show up on Ohio State's premier OOC opponent list too.
As it is, IMO, there are really only two non-SEC P5 schools on Alabama's level every year (Ohio State and Clemson), and those two don't schedule each other either. Not going to count Oklahoma until they win a Playoff Game.
FWIW, Saban is 4-0 vs. B1G teams in the Regular Season with double digit wins over Penn State @ BDS in 2010, @ Penn State in 2011, Michigan @ Arlington in 2012 and Wisconsin @ Arlington in 2015.
Cannot wait for the 2024-2025 Alabama vs. Wisconsin, 2027-8 Alabama vs. Ohio State and 2028-9 Alabama vs. Notre Dame series! Those should be be epic.
Agreed ... Saban mastered the kick-off classic, which I think is great. I love those games the first weekend of the season. I try to go them. I love that UGA schedules tough OOC because I prefer to to to a couple away games every year, instead of all the home games. Love Athens, but it's fun to explore the OOC towns and the away SEC towns.Bama has played an OK OOC. Not to the level of their team IMO. Few true road games. This isn't an SEC ripping comment by me, as your team has been one of the best when it comes to scheduling tough OOC.
I LOVE all of the new home and home series - which is the way it was when I was a kid in the 70s and the 80s. So happy to see that again! They definitely had some solid neutral games. I wont discredit the FSU win as no way to not think they wouldn't be a top program when that game was scheduled.
But is great to see them coming around to campus games against solid or elite teams.
I bet they'll meet in the playoffs before this happens.
We don’t play anybody.
If I see that thread started this year they’re getting kicked in the nuts.
We'll call this one the Faggot Bowl.
Wonder if it was Saban who does not want to travel. They do have Wisky and OSU on schedule but will he be there for either?
Where the hell did @Across The Field disappear to?
I miss him posting on these boards. Always enjoyed discussing recruiting.Curious about that too. Him and I had some back and forths throughout the years. I thought for sure he'd show back up with Michigan sucking ass this year. Hasn't been here or on the other one.
