It looks like they are going full Kaufman.
It's not meant to be serious, because it's your average dumb lifetime movie with melodrama out the ass, but they'll play it out seriously. I think a lot of people will watch expecting them to be goofy at some point. And that'll be the real joke.

Saw a preview for this on TV last night. I really can't tell if its a parody or they really committed to it. It's got a weird vibe but in a good way
