It's possible that the winner between the Cougars & the Chanticleers could find themselves in the running for a New Years Six bowl game if Cincinnati should stumble against Tulsa next weekend. The Chants still have a re-match coming up vs a dangerous Louisiana-Lafayette team in the Sun Belt Championship Game.

Unless something has changed because of the virus...BYU could be in the running for a playoff spot, but not the other
four games of the elite six games. The mid-Major selected for that is the highest rated Champion of the Mid-Major
Cpnferences. (BYU is an Independent and not eligible as a Mid-Major at-large team. The only other avenue for BYU
would be an at-large berth being selected along with a mid-major conf champ. (he P5 leagues ain't never gonna
allow that_

I believe you are correct. However, should CCU win & Cincy fall, the Chanticleers still have an outside shot.

Was a great game, BYU was clearly over hyped but CCU is a good team. No shame in that loss. Coastal played a great game.
