Its sad to see how poorly his career has gone since going to AZ.and really, how mad can you be when MadBum goes:
walk, single, K, K, fly out.
He's a phuking legend.
He had a nice first half this year but fell down hard sinceIts sad to see how poorly his career has gone since going to AZ.
Cobb? Hell yes. Stealth Ace.He had a nice first half this year but fell down hard since
Can we give it up for FYWW and Cobb?
And is enough being said about what they did with Bart in AAA? Holy shit he just flipped a switch.
Beating bad teams is what good teams do...
Why does ESPN list the Giants as having a 62.8% chance of making the playoffs?Cobb? Hell yes. Stealth Ace.
The Bullshit? No phuking way. Not unless we can see some sustained avoidance of moundshattery.
Still, that's 4 in a row boys. And the schedule is soft for a while. 5-10% chance we can get in, but if we do....with Webb/Rodon/Cobb...we could get lucky.
Because they are just that awesome? Why does ESPN list the Giants as having a 62.8% chance of making the playoffs?

because it's either a typo or insane. Why does ESPN list the Giants as having a 62.8% chance of making the playoffs?

Insane maybe but not a typo. Look at some other numbers, for example the Orioles are given a far worse chance than teams with the same record. I think they reflect preseason expectations and upcoming schedule strengthbecause it's either a typo or insane.
And they only give Philly a 38% chance, and they are in the #2 WC spot right now. And the Cards, who currently lead the central, a 41% chance. Why does ESPN list the Giants as having a 62.8% chance of making the playoffs?

I whole heartedly disagree.A win streak of 4 in a row tends to make me start thinking about the playoffs again. But ..... I really don't see us as a 'good' team. IMHO consistancy is the mark of a good team and we seem to be all over the place. But ... I think we are the type of team that can be very very dangerous in a playoff type structure. We have 2 top of the line starters and Cobb who is really under the radar. We have a sketchy offense. Never really sure what will show up on any given day. We could and should give any team one hell of a battle.
Getting there will be the real test ... if we do sneak in ..... it sure as hell won't be limping in ....
If only Nick Lowrey would return.I whole heartedly disagree.
Yes, we have a top 2 that can compete with any top 2 in the league. And if only we still had Susac, we could have the greatest battery in the history of the game with Cobb/Susac.
But this team’s defense is still atrocious. And the offense doesn’t scare an 8 year old girl who still sleeps with the lights on.
