I think they are going to give the W's all they can handle in a 6, maybe 7 game series. I know they are a lot better than the Blazers but this team is good and well coached.

You almost have to feel bad for the Warriors. As a #2 seed, getting the #6 in round 2 is a blessing......usually. But the Pelicans look like the #6 seed from hell. It will be an interesting series between the Dubs and Pelicans.

It is not New Orleans so much as Portland.

All the other 7 playoff teams would have beaten Portland in 4 or 5.

Portland just doesnt get to the line enough.

It is fake regular season basketball that will get their coach all sorts of regular season praise, but it is loser basketball overall.

They will never come close to winning anything without any players who can get to the line when teams bother to play.

I thought playing Rondo and Holiday together would be a shitshow.

They balled out.

At least Portland put up a fight in game 4 and didn't just get walked over.

Well Davis and Holiday walked all over them, but at least Portland fought back.

Time for changes.

They're not worried. I'm sure Zaza is already practicing his falls into a mannequin of Anthony Davis as we speak

Portland is going to have to be magicians at any sort of roster change. They are paying guys large amounts of money who don't deserve those contracts and no team is going to take those contracts.

Example: Leonard and Aminu.

Olshey the GM should be canned, but Paul Allen is an odd dude and he fired other capable GM's simply because he didn't get along with them but they were doing great things, Like Pritchard. He fired another GM after one season for really no reason at all. But here is Olshey sticking around for years building a mediocre roster.

CJ is good fit for Portland, he's a good player for Portland, but really who is willing to give up someone big for him? He isn't an all-star, he isn't an NBA all first team. He just fits well in Portland system and would probably be a decent bench role player for someone else. But who is willing to give up one of their starters or studs for a really good bench role player?

No one is going to take Leonard's or Aminu's contracts, again who should be bench role players. Leonard isn't even a bench role play in Portland anymore but they sure pay him like a starter. Olshey and the Blazers really dug themselves in a hole handing out money to a bunch of who would be bench players. I get their thought process, they thought these were young players who were doing well and appeared to be developing nicely, but the problem was they plateaud after they signed their major contracts.

This group isn't overcoming Houston or Golden State, ever. This group is incapable of getting out of the first round of the playoffs. A solid regular season roster but everyone knows the playoffs is a whole different beast. Portland needs to fire sale everyone but Lillard. Wheel and deal the best they can.

Where is Bob Whitsitt when you need him? need his structural plan of how to build Portland worked.
