what a horrible string of bad luck and Rules said this team hasnt suffered any injuries lol
well, it's pretty rough now. mean they have 4 top 9 forwards out, so no argument about injuries now
That said, these injuries may end up being a blessing in disguise.
1. Some of the youth are getting quality experience (Nieto specifically, hamilton a bit too).
2. Lots and lots of freed cap space which could definitely come in handy come deadline time.
3. Other than hertl, all the injuries should be fully healed well before the playoffs (Hertl too perhaps). That means that these guys will be relatively fresh in the PO's as long as they are fully healed.
It could end up being strangely beneficial as long as they can manage to win some games shorthanded.
Summary: The Sharks nearly rescued themselves from the bad situation they put themselves in.
Addendum: Niemi kinda sucks.
Yeah i dont see Hertl, getting back this season, maybe the start of training camp next season. 6-9 months multiple ligament damage so that sucks. Getting Raplhie back would be huge though along with Wingels. Havlat im not counting on him doing shit even if healthy.
A trade is needed to replace hertl and pick up the slack of Havlat. And Nemo needs to get his head unfucked
